Mitsubishi Announces Thermal Increase for April
BIELEFELD, Germany , Jan. 24, 2018 (Press Release) - Due to further increases in pulp costs and the extremely high cost increase for colour formers, the Bielefeld-based manufacturer of coated specialty papers, Mitsubishi HiTec Paper, is forced to raise prices for the entire THERMOSCRIPT thermal paper product range by up to 15%. This price adjustment applies worldwide for deliveries from April 1st 2018. Customers will be contacted directly by the Mitsubishi sales team.
December 2017 Price Increase
The global thermal paper market remains in a state of unrest as a result of the continued, limited availability of leuco dye, a primary component required in the coating of thermal paper.
