COPPELL, Texas--June 21, 2000--HotSheet.com, Inc., a subsidiary of Impreso.com, Inc., today announced an expansion in service offerings by its flagship HotSheet.com web directory, which contains links to over 500 premier websites.
The twelve general interest categories (e.g., finance, shopping, entertainment, travel), which comprise the single-page directory, are now available on individual pages that include additional web-based tools and utilities. News headlines, movie listings, stock market indices, and other useful functions have been added to the relevant category pages. A color-coded navigation graphic allows registered users to easily jump between the new category pages and their personalized my.HotSheet page of web-based bookmarks. The separate category pages also provide HotSheet.com users with a convenient alternative to the scrolling which is required to browse the extensive single-page directory.
``These latest enhancements provide greater convenience and faster access for our users, while opening the door to additional revenue sources for our HotSheet.com, Inc. subsidiary,'' stated Marshall Sorokwasz, Chief Executive Officer of Impreso.com, Inc. ``We have improved the 'stickiness' of our site by adding valuable content that will bring users back more frequently, and the changes have also created new opportunities for targeted advertising. The individual category pages allow us to provide new functions which would not be possible in our main directory page without significantly compromising load time and utility.''
The Company's improved my.HotSheet service allows registered users to create personalized pages of their favorite bookmarks, which can be accessed and managed from any computer with a simple Web Browser and Internet connection. Additionally, users can allow others to view their personalized link collections by providing a unique web address (URL) to friends, family members and business associates. When accessed with the unique web address, the directories' contents cannot be modified, thus allowing organizations to publish easy-to-use lists of links for their members, employees, and/or customers.
Other changes in my.HotSheet allow users to add or edit links with greater ease and functionality. For example, a new mini-window can remain open while users 'surf the web.' When users choose to add a link to their my.HotSheet page, they simply drag the web address of the site to the appropriate area in the mini-window, enter a link Title, select an existing Category or enter a new one, and click a button. Favorite sites can also be selected from the HotSheet.com ``Master Link List,'' which contains all of the links for the premier sites listed on the HotSheet.com directory.
``We are very excited about the opportunities which these changes have created for HotSheet.com, Inc.,'' continued Sorokwasz. ``The quality and popularity of the sites listed in our directory, the additional user tools now available, and the integration of these with our unique web-based bookmarks, have positioned HotSheet.com for continued growth in both repeat users and corresponding revenues.''
